3D Wizardry Announces 2D To 3D Artwork Conversion And Printing Service For Artists And Photographers.

Hilton, New York based 3D Wizardry Lenticular Design Works announced a new service for artists and photographers. The new service will transform a digital photo or a photo of an original artwork from two dimensions into a three dimensional interpretation that can then be printed using the glasses-free 3D lenticular printing process.

Founder and President of 3D Wizardry, Peter Sucy, believes this new service has the potential to create new revenue opportunities for all artists, allowing them to generate new sales from older artworks and photos through the production of limited edition 3D prints.

The artwork conversion process requires a high resolution digital photograph or digital photo of an artwork that is evenly lit and square with the artwork. An 18 Megapixel image or larger is recommended.

This file is then separated into layers and the cut out areas on the background is cloned in to match the surrounding areas. Generally, no more three...

Hilton, NY
Artist Peter J. Sucy has announced the availability of an online resource documenting the early days of digital photography at Kodak. A first hand account by one of the original members of Kodak's Electronic Photography Division in 1986, Peter tells of his explorations with digital art and photography that resulting in him becoming the conceptual artist and primary scribe for the young division.

Hundreds of documents, illustrations, diagrams, photos, proposals that made it, many that didn't, all give a glimpse the product development process at Kodak, during a time when photography was about to change forever. There's also pdf copies of a variety early digital equipment, scanners, printers, film recorders from the period to show what was happening in Silicon Valley, somewhere Kodak had rarely ventured before.

Peter founded his Macintosh applications lab in 1987, getting the go ahead from his supervisors to put together a typical computer imaging...
