These are graphic interpretations of some of my photos, both real and virtual, using a technique I've termed micro-paintings. My micro-paintings were created using a digital paint synthesizer to create multiple extremely high resolution (35-66 Megapixels) layers of tiny synthesized brush or pen strokes. Only when you get up close do you begin to realize that it really is a painting not a photo. So be sure to zoom in! The layers (often six or more) are blended in Photoshop to achieve the desired effect. The resulting images are my graphic interpretations of my photos which I achieve through control of thousands of parameters for each paint patch used and then the blending of these layers.
